Mayor to Host “Meet the Mayor” Beer Hours In Coming Weeks
Jackson, MI — Today Mayor Derek Dobies announced he’s hosting several Meet the Mayor Beer Hours in the upcoming weeks to speak with constituents on city issues.
“Speaking with constituents has always been a key part of my philosophy as Mayor. Besides, having a good conversation over a great IPA is one of the best ways to get to know people,” said Mayor Dobies. “That’s what this is all about. I want residents to come out, ask questions, and share their ideas with me about how we can create good jobs and great roads for Jackson. First beer’s on me.”
Dobies brews small batches of beer himself, and hosted successful beer hours with constituents in years past. This year he said he plans to buy beer for the first dozen constituents at Brass Rail and Greystone, and also plans to bring quarters to Tilted to play constituents in pinball while discussing city affairs.
The scheduled beer hours are as follows:
Brass Rail, August 31st from 8–9PM
308 W Prospect St
Jackson, MI 49203

Greystone Tavern, September 19th from 8–9PM
